Apricot Compacta® -  Enjoy fresh Apricots from the patio! Compacta is a new compact growing dwarf Apricot. Compacta has bushy growth habit and is a very hardy variety so suitable for all parts of the UK. The fruits on Apricot Compacta are medium sized orange and juicy. Apricot Compacta is very productive fruiting from mid-July to the beginning of August. Compacta is a self fertile Apricot but like all other Apricots they do flower very early so hand pollinate the flowers with a soft brush to aid the pollination. Protection from frosts when in blossom is essential. Tree height when mature 1.5-2 metres if grown in the ground. The size of the tree will be smaller if grown in a large pot.
