Apple Red Falstaff
Dessert Apple Red Falstaff - This new heavy cropping variety would be our choice in any garden. This variety has so many plus points and it never seems to fail. Received the Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Self fertile with disease resistance and frost tolerance. Fruits are bright red with crisp juicy well flavoured flesh. Picking time late September. Pollination group 3.

Plum Victoria
Dessert/Culinary Plum Victoria fruit trees - Still the most popular plum with both amateur and commercial growers. Victoria Received the Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Flesh is yellowish to green. Victoria Plum is also self fertile, hardy, delicious and a reliable heavy cropper. Victoria was raised in Sussex around 1840 so has stood the test of time.

Cherry Sunburst
Sweet Cherry Sunburst fruit trees - Sunburst was developed at the Summerland Research Station in British Columbia, Canada. It was first released in 1965. Sunburst has very large near black fruits. This sweet cherry is very similar to Stella in growth habit but the fruit is darker in colour. Sunburst cherry has a gorgeous flavour. Picking time July. Sunburst is a self fertile cherry tree that would be our choice in any garden.

Pear Conference
Dessert Pear Conference fruit trees. - Remains the number one choice because of its reliability under less than favourable conditions. Conference received the Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Conference fruits are long and narrow with juicy but firm flesh. Picking time late September. Self fertile though a pollinating partner will ensure a better crop. Pollination group B.

When is the best time to plant a fruit tree - Container grown apple trees can be planted at any time of the year. Bare Root apple trees can only be planted between the months of November - April.

Planting distance for fruit trees - All fruit trees are grafted onto a rootstock. It is the rootstock that determines how big the apple tree will grow into. As tall as the tree will grow into would be the planting distance. Example MM106 will grow to 3-4 metres when mature. So a spacing of between 3-4 metres would be required.

Can I grow a fruit tree in a pot - All fruit trees will be happy growing in a large container. A pot around 50-60cm is ideal.
