Blackberry Karaka Black
Blackberry Karaka Black - The King blackberry is one of the sweetest tasting versions of the fruit available as well as having an eye catching, elongated shape. Originates from New Zealand, where it was first trialled three years ago. The attractive, shiny fruit are well displayed and easy to pick. These dark black fruits are very firm and have an outstanding shelf life. Karaka Black has a good blackberry flavour. Yields in trials have been outstanding. Early Season Variety Duke - Medium to large sized Blueberries with a mildly sweet flavour. This attractive berry is quite firm and retains its fresh quality longer than most varieties. Early Season Variety Patriot - Patriot was selected at the University of Maine for home gardeners requiring a cold hardy variety that would bear consistent crops of large sized fruit. Production is high, ranging between 10 and 20 pounds at maturity. The berries are dark blue and highly flavoured. Patriot is a low growing, spreading bush to about 4 feet, revealing its partial low bush parentage. It is adaptable to many soil types and will perform better in wetter soils than many other varieties. Blueberry Pink Lemonade
Mid-Late Season Variety Pink Lemonade - Who would have thought it? A pink blueberry! Pink Lemonade is the result of many years development by the United States Department of Agriculture. Pink Lemonade reaches about 5ft/1.5m high and wide, with masses of twiggy branches. The fruits begin green, then become speckled in pink and then take on a rich pink colouring as they mature in August and September. Like all blueberries, Pink Lemonade demands an acid soil and is especially happy in a large container of ericaceous compost. Although it’s self fertile, it will crop more heavily if another blueberry is planted nearby.

Cherry Morello
Acid Cooking Cherry Morello fruit trees - Smaller than its sweet cousins, the Morello cherry is self fertile and crops heavily in most parts of the country. Morello cherry tolerates colder and wetter conditions than the sweet cherries. The cherries are pickable from the time their skin is dark red. At this stage, Morello cherries are sour and should be cooked (they make great cherry jam). However if a Morello cherry is left on the tree into August (by which time its skin will be practically black) it will be edible off the tree in the same way that a tart eating apple is.
