situation

Plant the canes about 18” (45 cm) apart with 6 ft (1.8 m) between the rows. Avoid planting the young canes too deeply, a covering of 3” (7.5 cms) over the roots is ample. Cut the canes down to 2” (5 cms) above the soil immediately after planting (bare root canes only, Do not cut down the 1 litre potted canes). In the spring when the new shoots appear from beneath the soil the 2” stub should be cut away. The young canes are tied into a wire fence system for cropping the following season. Subsequently all canes which have fruited are cut out at ground level immediately after fruiting.

Planted 5 of these in March '15 and had a small crop this first year. They arrived in excellent condition and have grown well. The fruits look brilliant but a bit disappointed in the flavour, not a huge amount to them. Hopefully next year when it's been established longer this will no longer be the case.

I was so pleased when my order arrived, the canes were packed well and in excellent condition. included was a sheet with clear instructions which was very helpful as I've never grown raspberries before! Looking forward to tasting them! Will definitely use Blackmoor again!

Received the Raspberry canes today and was very pleased with both the quality of the root system and the thickness of canes, I am sure when planted will produce good sturdy plants, can't to taste the resulting fruit.

I ordered these canes on Sunday following seeing some tweets on twitter from @BlackmoorFruit. This was my first ever purchase of plants online and I was a little nervous. Today I have to express my delight at the plants I received today. So well packed. The canes were nice and thick and full of root. I cant praise Blackmoor enough. I will be back for more now I have found you. Thank you Chris Ingram
